US to lift travel restrictions on Nov. 8 for all fully-vaccinated international travelers





The White House announced that it will lift all travel restrictions for all travelers fully vaccinated against COVID-19 beginning November 8, 2021.


International travelers traveling via air will need to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination and a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours at the airport during check-in. International travelers entering via land borders will only need to show proof of their full COVID-19 vaccination. A negative COVID-19 test result will not be required.


All vaccines approved by the US Food and Drug Administration, as well as the World Health Organization, will be accepted for travel purposes. These are:


  • Pfizer/BioNTech

  • Modern

  • Johnson & Johnson

  • AstraZeneca/Oxford

  • Serum Institute of India Covishield

  • Sinopharm

  • Sinovac CoronaVac


Unvaccinated visitors will continue to be barred from entering the US.
