US Consulate Berlin: NIEs now valid for 12 months, multiple entries

As of July 5, 2021, the US Consulate in Berlin confirmed that all National Interest Exception (NIE) applications that were approved within the last 12 months will be automatically extended for 12 months from the date of issuance and be valid for multiple entries.

This means that if you have received a new visa from the the or you have received an approved NIE from US Consulate in Berlinin the last 12 months, you do NOT need a new NIE.
