USCIS has temporarily closed its Vermont Service Center due to a possible COVID-19 outbreak at the office. The office will likely remain closed until April 15, but USCIS has not yet confirmed when the office will reopen.
The closure has resulted in delays in accepting petitions and applications via mail for processing. However, the majority of employees of the Vermont Service Center are working remotely, so experts do not expect the closure to cause significant delays in case processing.
USCIS service centers are closed to the public but have remained open for employees during the pandemic to process incoming immigration applications and petitions.
Adomat Immigration will continue monitoring the situation. If you have any questions, please contact Ayla Adomat, Esq. at ayla@adomatimmigration.com.
