USCIS released its November 2019 Visa Bulletin and advised practitioners to follow the State Department's Dates for Filing chart to determine if green card applicants are eligible to file their I-485 Adjustment of Status applications.
So, what does this mean for you? The November 2019 brings good news for some employment-based green card applicants - especially for applicants in the EB-1 category. Chinese EB-1 priority dates have moved ahead by three months and the "all other countries" category has pushed ahead by almost six weeks. EB-2 and EB-3 priority dates for applicants from countries besides China, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Mexico, Philippines and Vietnam have also remained current.
